Crew Shoutout: Tere
Miniatures? Full rooms to move into? A house decorate? Thankfully we had Tere on our team. Our creative problem-solving and imaginative production designer, Tere was essential in crafting the visual identity of Dear Nora. She crafted the featured miniature sets, advised on location scouts, and sourced tons of furniture and art.
If you want to support the fruits of her labor, please visit the link in the bio!

Crew Shoutout: Grant
Where would we be without our dear 1st AD, Grant. Thank goodness we don’t have to answer that question. Grant was very prepared, adapted to issues quickly, and kept us on track with professional skill and positive attitude. His true skill is as a producer, which is what makes him such an asset to have on any production. He provided production crew, moral support, food suggestions, helpful advice, and that dashing smile.

Crew Shoutout: Ian
Our gaffer Ian is an extremely talented Halo gamer, and an even better gaffer. He’s committed, well-prepared, and helped us find our awesome grips. We couldn’t have executed Dear Nora’s intensive setups without him.
A poem about Ian from Assad Malik:
A loose cannon, a genius, a light in the haze
With wild ideas and quieter ways
He rigs, he runs, then calls it true
“Genius” he says, and means it too
For all the chaos, you always came through
McGar, the storm and the light we knew

Crew Shoutout: Sebastian
Our very special Key Grip has an intuitive grasp on how to keep his department running smoothly and intelligently. Sebas is a deeply talented person with a bright, sunny presence that makes what he does look easy (it’s not).
A Poem about Seba, from Assad Malik:
Half Colombian charm, half Ecuadorian grace
A steady hand and a handsome face
Once addicted to Coke (the fizzy kind)
Now a lady magnet and a crewmate dear
He swims through stress, calm and composed
Fixes problems nobody knows
Dear Sebastian, suave, sharp, and true
The set ran smoother because of you.

Crew Shoutout: Macey
Our post production would not be moving like we are without the attentive notes of our Script Supervisor, Macey Moser. Macey made the crew banana bread - one of the many examples of the kind of person she is on set. She’s professional, thoughtful, and keen-eyed. Macy has also directed her own thesis this semester, “Roadside”.

Crew Shoutout: Bearclaw
One of our Key Grips, Bearclaw is a true pro. He was helpful in proving us with needed expendables, and a playful and competent member of the crew. Not to mention, Bearclaw’s aura. His aura is unmatched.

Crew Shoutouts: Chris!
Our fabulous NY based costume designer @chrishyndsdesign created our amazing array of outfits! Our soon-to-be iconic blue dress comes from his vision and planning and tailoring. We couldn’t have asked for anyone more talented.

Crew Shoutout: Dalton
Our 1st AC, Dalton, is as talented as he is handsome. He landed some difficult focus pulls, making it look easy. Despite the difficulty of the job, Dalton remained calm, kind, and helpful throughout the whole set.

Crew Shoutouts: Christian
This Fourth of July, let’s take a moment to celebrate our bright-eyed and cheerful Christian Wilcox. He was our 2nd AC, elevating the efficiency of our camera set-up time & swapping lenses like he was born to do it. On top of raw skill, Christian is a positive, playful person who makes camera teams look a little less intimidating to approach.
Please visit the link in the bio and consider donating, to continue to support the wide smiles of people like Christian. Who knows what’ll happen to him if we don’t reach our goal <3

Crew Shoutout: Ally
Our best Trinket Troll and Garage Goblin, Ally was an all-around helpful presence - PAing, set dressing, and whatever else we needed. When not being the most useful person on set, she would provide us her spirited conversations and much-needed humor.
Without her, director @jaybirdflyz would’ve shattered into pieces and been unable to make the film.
